August 31, BaySox and DC Padres Doubleheader on August 31

Come enjoy a baseball doubleheader on Sunday, August 31 at 2:05 p.m. at the Prince George’s County Stadium in Bowie, Maryland as we get to see both the Bowie BaySox and the DC Padres.

In the first game, the Baysox take on the Altoona Curve. These teams are the Class AA affiliates of the Baltimore Orioles and Pittsburgh Pirates, respectively.

The second game features the DC Padres, a team of local priests and seminarians who play games against high school teams to raise awareness of vocations to the priesthood. In this their third outing of the 2014 season, they will be playing the Gonzaga High School baseball team. Perhaps you will recognize some of the priests on the DC Padres team as they have served at nearly 20 local parishes.

General admission tickets are $10. Tickets will be available at the stadium box office the day of the game. Food is available (extra cost) at several concessions stands.

We will meet in the general admission seats along the third base line, just behind section 114 starting at about 1:30 p.m.

To RSVP, please by August 30.
