August 21, CAC Potomac River Dance Cruise (Deadline August 16)

Savor the sights of Washington’s majestic landmarks by night while cruising along the Potomac River on a recreation of a 19th century Victorian riverboat during CAC’s first-ever Potomac River Moonlight Dance Cruise on Saturday, August 21 from 8:30-11:30 p.m. The boat departs from the Alexandria City Marina in Old Town Alexandria, Virginia.

This year as we have chartered the Cherry Blossom, an authentic split sternwheeler and the most elegant yacht on the Potomac River. Complete with ornate iron railings and a plush interior of brass and mahogany, the Cherry Blossom stands out as the premier vessel to enjoy Washington by water. Her two interior salons are air-conditioned, and the open-air third deck offers a spectacular view of Old Town Alexandria and the Washington, DC skyline. The Cherry Blossom stands head and shoulders above other boats cruising the Potomac River.

CAC’s Potomac River Moonlight Dance Cruise will be one of the highlights of the Summer! Relax to light snacks and popular music spun by a DJ while dancing the night away indoors on the lower deck, or take pleasure in the splendor of the Potomac River and Washington by night while strolling outside on the upper deck. Some of the stately attractions we will enjoy include the Washington Monument, the Capitol, the Jefferson Memorial, the Pentagon, and Washington National Airport. This cruise will be loads of fun! Dress code is neat but comfortable.

The Cherry Blossom is docked behind the Torpedo Factory Art Center on North Union Street, located at the foot of Cameron Street. We’ll meet at 7:45 p.m.; boarding is at 8:15 p.m. The boat sails promptly at 8:30 p.m.

Tickets are $47 for nonmembers and only $37 for members.
