March 12, St. Patrick's Dance in Silver Spring

March on down to CAC's March Dance on Saturday, March 12 from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at the Knights of Columbus Hall on 9707 Rosensteel Avenue in Silver Spring, Maryland.

Join us for “The Wearin O’ The Green” as the CAC clan gathers for an evening of mirth and merriment to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Who knows? “The Luck of the Irish” may be with you - you may win one of the door prizes! A DJ spins favorite dance tunes from the 60s through today. Cash bar. Admission: $15 for non-members, $10 for members, payable at the door. Reservations not required. More information.

Directions: Take the Beltway (Route 495) to exit 31A, Georgia Avenue / Wheaton (Route 97 North). Immediately get into the left lane and take a left at the first traffic light onto Forest Glen Road. Proceed on Forest Glen Road for 0.3 mile and turn right onto Rosensteel Avenue. The Knights of Columbus Hall is the first building on the right, with parking beside and behind the building. Lost? By Metro: Take the Red Line to the Forest Glen Station. Walk west on Forest Glen Road, away from Georgia Avenue (Route 97) for about two blocks, and turn right onto Rosensteel Avenue. The Knights of Columbus Hall is the first building on the right. Lost? Call the K of C at (301) 588-3303.

March 18, Happy Hour in DC

Even though it will be past Saint Patrick’s Day, come join CAC for more Irish cheer on Friday, March 18 from 5-8 p.m for Happy Hour at the Fado Irish Pub on 807 Seventh Street, NW in Washington, DC.

Directions: From Silver Spring, Maryland and Tysons Corner, Virginia, take the Beltway (Route 495) to Connecticut Avenue South (Exit 33). Follow Connecticut Avenue to K Street NW. Turn left onto K Street and follow it to Ninth Street. Turn right onto Ninth Street and go about two blocks to H Street; turn left on H Street and left again on Seventh Street. March 20, 40 Plus (or Minus) Dinner - Bethesda

Celebrate the first day of Spring by joining the 40-Plus (or Minus) group on Palm Sunday afternoon, March 20 at 5 p.m. at the Rock Bottom Brewery on 7900 Norfolk Avenue in Bethesda, Maryland. The Rock Bottom features an eclectic menu with affordable prices, including steaks, salads, seafood, pasta and a variety of ethnic foods. Seating will be prompt at 5:15 p.m.
