April 16, Spring Fling Dance in Bethesda

Join CAC for our April Spring Fling Dance on Saturday, April 16 from 8:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. at The Sheraton Four Points Hotel on 8400 Wisconsin Avenue in Bethesda, Maryland. Your IRS check is in the mail. Spend a little of the return! Take a break as we celebrate the beauty of Spring at a dance and After Tax Day Celebration. Admission is $15 for non-members and $10 for members. CAC dances feature a DJ and popular music from the past to the present. Proper dress is required (no jeans or sneakers). For more Information.

Directions From Silver Spring, Maryland and Tyson's Corner, Virginia, take the Beltway (Route 495) to the Rockville Pike/Wisconsin Avenue (Route 355) exit, heading south towards Bethesda and the District. Once on Rockville Pike/Wisconsin Avenue, proceed about 1.7 miles (through six sets of traffic lights) the sixth set of lights is the intersection of Rockville Pike and Woodmont Avenue). Sheraton Four Points is on the right, just after the sixth set of traffic lights. Lost? Call the Sheraton Four Points at 301-654-1000. From the District, take Wisconsin Avenue North to the Maryland State Line. Continue on Wisconsin Avenue for approximately three miles. Look for a Shell Gas Station and Chatters Sports Bar on the left (at the intersection of Rockville Pike and Woodmont Avenue). Pass the traffic light and take a left into the hotel. Lost? Call the Sheraton Four Points at 301-654-1000.

By Metro: Take the Red Line to the Medical Center Station. Walk south on Rockville Pike for about 0.4-mile. The hotel is on the right. Lost? Call the Sheraton Four Points at 301-654-1000.

Parking For hotel parking, turn into the Sheraton Four Points; the parking garage is straight ahead. Hotel parking is $5.

For free parking: (1) coming via Route 495: Proceed for about 1.8 miles and at the seventh set of lights, take a right onto Battery Lane (There is a Shell Gas Station on one corner and Chatters Sports Bar on another corner). Go to the first set of traffic lights and take a left onto Woodmont Avenue. The parking garage is 0.1 mile up on the right. Parking is free on Saturday evenings, and the garage is only a 250-foot walk to the hotel.

April 24, Singles Sunday in Tenleytown

The Catholic Alumni Club’s annual celebration of Singles Sunday is Sunday, April 24 with a 3 p.m. Mass at St. Ann’s Church on 4400 Wisconsin Avenue, NW at Tenley Circle (at the intersection of Yuma Street) in Washington, DC. The Mass will be celebrated by CAC Chaplain Fr. David Beaubien. Dinner will follow in the Collins Room behind the church. A collection will be taken during Mass to both help defray the cost of dinner and serve as a donation to St. Ann’s Church.

Follow Wisconsin Avenue for approximately 5.5 miles into the District to Tenley Circle. At the circle, St. Ann’s is on the right. Pass the church and turn right onto Yuma Street. Pass the rectory and turn right into an alleyway, then right again onto an access road behind the church. Park in the lot next to St. Ann’s Academy and walk around to the front of the church. Street parking is available if the parking lot is full.

By Metro: Take the Red Line to the Tenleytown Station. Exit on the west side of Wisconsin Avenue. Walk south (toward downtown DC) on Wisconsin Avenue for two blocks. St. Ann’s Church is on the right.
