CAC of Washington, DCWith merrymaking and holiday festivities in the air, CAC cordially welcomes everyone to its 2011 Advent Mass and Christmas Gala Dinner/Dance on Saturday, December 10. The Mass for the Third Sunday of Advent, celebrated by CAC Chaplain Fr. David Beaubien, starts at 6:30 PM in the Chapel of Our Lady of Good Counsel at 8601 Wolftrap Road in Vienna, Virginia.
Immediately following Mass (~7:45), we will partake of a scrumptious seated dinner elegantly served at the beautiful, and nearby, Marco Polo Restaurant on 245 Maple Avenue West in Vienna, Virginia. Providing fine dining in the area for almost forty years, the Marco Polo is sure to add color and excitement to our annual festivities.
CAC has arranged for a dinner consisting of Caesar salad made with Romaine lettuce, homemade croutons, Parmesan cheese and tossed with a house dressing followed by breast of chicken medallions filled with wild rice, pinenuts and raisins in light cherry sauce and penne al'Arrabiata and a vegetable du jour. A nice dessert will follow with coffee or tea. (Note: Please indicate on RSVP or email us if you are a vegetarian, have allergies or other dietary restrictions.) There will be a cash bar throughout the evening.
After dinner (~9:30), the dance commences with our DJ spinning popular music from the past to the present.
Admission for dinner and dance is $49 for non-members, $39 for CAC members. Purchases are non-refundable. You can make your reservation and pay on-line or email us for alternative methods of registering. Reservations are not valid until non-refundable payment is received.
RSVPs are required for dinner only. You can come at 9:30 PM for the dance only, with admission of $23 for nonmembers and $17 for members at the door.
This warm and convivial evening allows you to meet wonderful people, enjoy great music and outstanding Italian food in a beautifully decorated Christmas setting. Proper dess is required.

Directions - To Our Lady of Good Counsel on 8601 Wolftrap Road in Vienna, Virginia. From the Beltway take Exit 46A for Route 123 South toward Tysons Corner. Traveling South on Route 123, pass the fourth light at Courthouse Road. After about 0.8 mile further you will see the Emmaus Church of Christ on your right. Make the next left onto Niblick Drive. You may either a) follow Niblick Drive until the street ends at the entrance to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church property or b) make an immediate left onto Wolftrap Road and at the crest of the hill make a right onto the church property.
From the Church to the Marco Polo Restaurant - leave the Church via either Niblick Drive or Wolftrap Road and drive back to Maple Avenue/Route 123. Turn left. Go 1.3 miles (crossing Center Street along the way where the road name for Route 123 changes from Maple Avenue East to Maple Avenue West) to 245 Maple Avenue West on the right. The restaurant is just past Lawyers Road NW. If you reach Pleasant Street NW then you've gone a little too far.
