The Catholic Alumni Club's Annual Celebration of Singles Sunday will occur on Sunday, April 22 from 3 - 6 p.m. at Holy Redeemer Church on 4902 Berwyn Road in College Park, Maryland.
We begin with Mass at 3 p.m. celebrated by our chaplain, Father David Beaubien. Following Mass, a dinner will be served in the Four Seasons Room at the Church.
Singles Sunday focuses on the needs and contributions of single Catholics to the Church and society. If you are single by choice, you know that singleness is just as much a way of life and standard of adult fulfillment as marriage. If you would like to marry someday, you know that singleness provides the time to discover new talents and to develop new friendships.
Singles Sunday increases the Church's awareness of its mission to single people and promotes the importance of singles in the Mystical Body of Christ. Singles Sunday emphasizes the contribution of single people to the church and each other.
This annual event always attracts a good number of people, and we hope to have an even greater turnout this year! Singles Sunday is open to all single Catholics from the metropolitan Washington area, so spread the word and bring your friends! This is a wonderful opportunity to spend a Sunday afternoon meeting and making new friends and enjoying the company of old ones in a relaxed atmosphere while savoring a nice Italian meal.
During the Mass, a collection will be taken as our donation to Holy Redeemer Church for the use of their facilities. Afterwards, an Italian dinner will be served by CAC.
