April 26, Regional Weekend at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania

Join us at the Gettysburg Regional Convention from Friday, April 26 through Sunday, April 28 at the Eisenhower Hotel and Conference Center on 2634 Emmitsburg Road in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

It’s time to gather for the Spring Eastern Regional Convention, sponsored this year by the CAC of Washington DC. The weekend price of $280 for a double occupancy room ($370 single occupancy) includes two nights lodging, two breakfasts, and one dinner and entertainment with live music. Tours are extra. For more information and a registration form, click here. $50 is non-refundable if cancelled before March 25. Subject to space availability after March 25. There are no refunds after March 25.

This is the Sesquicentennial Anniversary of the great Civil War battle. At a memorial service later in 1863, Abraham Lincoln spoke a few words in his incomparable Gettysburg Address, a speech memorized by school children for generations, which possibly made the famous and sad battle even more well-known. Now is your chance to visit the place where it all happened, during this anniversary year.

Optional tours include a Saturday visit to the Visitors Center and bus tour of the battlefield with a guide. For those who arrive on Thursday, or Friday morning, there is a Friday tour to the Elizabeth Ann Seton Shrine and grounds (including Miracles Amid the Fire Storm covering the impact of the Civil War) followed by a visit to the Grotto with a Mass at the chapel, then dinner at a local historic Inn.
